Parent's Guide for Virtual Classes

Q: Oh no! I missed my class, can I reschedule?

A: If you are a regular JEI Program student, we may be able to reschedule according to classroom availability. If you are an After School Club student, there is no make-up session. Our teacher will modify your child's lesson during the following class. (This is the same practice for our in-class operation.)

 

Q: Do I have to grade my child's workbook?

A: In each weekly workbook, new concepts/skills are introduced. Upon completion of each workbook, an Interim Quiz is given which helps determine the level of understanding and mastery of the new concepts/skills. We will continue to keep track of your child's progress using the Interim Quiz score and feedback from our teachers during the Virtual JEI Classroom. Yes, it is important to grade your child's work.

Q: How do I access Virtual JEI Classroom?

A: Please download Zoom Cloud Meeting on your device (you do not need to register for an account). The night before your child's class, an email will be sent to you with the Zoom ID (from jkimjei@gmail.com).  Simply press the link in the email or input the Zoom ID # to access the classroom. Please check your junk/spam folder frequently or add our emails listed below as safe senders.
